Jorginho is helping his new team-mates adapt to Maurizio Sarri’s style of coaching, revealed Marcos Alonso.
The new Blues recruit is familiarising himself with his new surroundings at Chelsea, but has the added advantage of having played under Sarri at Napoli.
Sarri joined Chelsea this summer to replace the sacked Antonio Conte, and his first transfer action was to bring Jorginho to the club.
And full-back Alonso revealed how the midfielder is giving his team-mates tips.
‘He is used to playing this way, and he is going to be a great help for everybody,’ Alonso told the club website.
‘He is giving us tips to get used to this way of playing.
Conte spent a lot of time working on tactics and formations with his player as he used a three-man defence flanked by wing-backs in his time at Chelsea.
Sarri is set to bin the three-at-the-back system and Alonso confirmed changes had already begun.
He said: ‘We are working on a new formation, a new style that he is asking of us. He wants us to press high, he wants the team to be together, to have possession of the ball.
‘For a week we have been training very hard and trying to learn new things.
‘We are having fun. The atmosphere in the changing room is very good. The mood is fantastic and we are working very well.’
